Originally from Finland, Nina Tans studied at Central Saint Martins and began her career in fashion, working in London and Paris before moving to the Isle of Mull in 2020.
Surrounded by the landscape of Scotland's west coast, she transitioned from design to a career as an artist, developing a practice spanning watercolour and contemporary art maps.
Her work has since been exhibited in Edinburgh and London, including at the
Royal Scottish Academy and Mall Galleries.
